Today we’re joined by Katherine M. Mayer. She received a Masters in Forensic Psychology while interning with the Capital Defender of Northern Virginia. She worked as a Mitigation Specialist with the Public Defender of Miami-Dade’s Capital Litigation Unit. She’s currently a private investigator and mitigation specialist in Austin Texas.

Thank you for the insightful, thoughtful, and inspiring conversation!! This is an awesome aspect of investigation I definitely want to explore more in depth now. It’s an avenue I’ve never considered as a specialty. I will be looking to learn more about Death Penalty mitigation investigations. I’m not sure we have anyone in GA who offers this specific service, but I will be finding out. Once I know who does this work near me, I will be offering to carry their bags and bring them coffee. I certainly want to learn more about it, thanks to John A Hoda and Katherine Mayer.
